Cat"s Claw is also known as Una de Gato and is named for the sharp, curved thorns found on its stem. Solaray only uses the inner bark portion of the vine. The inner bark contains unique active constituents to assist the body"s natural defense system. Cat"s Claw contains several of the polyphenols, in addition to triterpines and the plant steroids, beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol and campesterol.
